AMSTERDAM FLOWER MARKET

One peculiar aspect about the famous flower market in Amsterdam is the fact that there are
hardly any flowers to be seen. For this design for a new type of flower shop building, we propose
to transform the roof of the shop into a terraced flowerbed, with flowers changing with the seasons.

As a beginning, only this shop is going to be transformed, but if the idea becomes popular with the
neighbouring shops, the whole market could be turned into a typically muliticoloured Dutch striped flower field.
When realized, the flower shop will be 100% CO2 neutral.
