RIO BOGOTA

The border between the megacity Bogota and the surrounding small rural municipalities is defined
by the Bogota River. Along the river a tension exists, based in conflicting political and planning
interests, leading to a situation of no collaboration between the two sides. Through meetings with
city and regional governmental representatives, important local architects and academic experts,
we formulated a proposal for a new platform for communication between the parties. The research will
continue in 2012 with a series of workshops leading to planning proposals for four test sites.
